Dolphins and seals are both regular visitors to the bay and can often be seen hunting for food or resting on the sheltered rocks in the cove. From the front doorstep, there are plenty of rock pooling opportunities along the shore just yards away, and the area is renowned for its interesting geological formations ideal for fossil hunting. Exceptional bird watching out to sea and on the cliffs behind the cottage. Fresh crab and lobsters are still landed at the quaint harbour.
