We are a short walk down to the shore front - where you will find the local shop, The North Kessock Hotel which has a restaurant/bar as well as the White Cottage Tea room. Situated on Ord Hill, there are also plenty of lovely scenic walks on our doorstep. Dolphins and seals can be seen in the firth - with red squirrels, deer and other wildlife in the woods behind. Please be aware that we have two pet cats who live in our home - and therefore our home would not be suitbable for people with allergies. If you have mobility issues, unfortunately our home does not have a ramp access and may not be suitable for your stay, for which we can only apologise. Please feel free to contact us in advance if you have any questions. Certain Sat Nav directions to the property can often be a bit tricky, directing guests too far up the hill. If you are booked to stay and are travelling by car it is best to take the following route: Once you enter the village of North Kessock, please continue to drive through the village past the park, local hotel and local shop. Once you reach the fork in the road (underneath the bridge), you drive up the hill (NOT along the shoreline past the lifeboat station). Halfway up this hill on the right there is an entrance where there are 3 houses. My property is the house furthest back. DO NOT continue driving to the top of this hill - if you reach the T Junction at the top of the hill, you have gone too far. If you get lost or need further direction then I am easily accessible by telephone.

North Kessock is a quiet village situated on the opposite side of Inverness, across the Moray Firth. The property has easy access to Ord Hill, popular for nature walks - where deer, red squirrels and a variety of birds can be spotted. We are also a short walk to the shoreline along the firth, where otters, dolphins, porpoise and even minky whales are known to frequent. The North Kessock hotel is just a 10 minute walk down the hill and serves lunch and evening meals. There is a local bus service on the hour from the village to the city of Inverness
